We hold monthly bottle drives to raise funds, so clean out the garage and bring them in! Please also tell all your friends and neighbours of this great opportunity to get rid of bottles, milk jugs and cans! All money raised from Bottle Drives will help support council activities, such as school T-shirts, Grandparent Reading and Sports Day, to name only a few popular initiatives.
At our September bottle drive, Hillhurst School families raised $349.20 and recycled 2,952 containers. Let’s keep this momentum going! Each and every refundable container makes a difference and students are proud of this difference that THEY are making.
NO SORTING REQUIRED.
Refundable containers can be dropped off on 7 avenue (between 12 and 14 ST NW), on the curb in front of the school. Please look for pylons for the drop off location.
We need two people to help on the morning of each bottle drive. If you think you can help with one bottle drive, please contact Melanie G.
2017-18 Bottle Drives:
The bottle depot truck will be at the school from 8:15 – 9:00 a.m. on the third Thursday morning of each month, with the exception of February, when it will be there on February 22nd. Permanent bins for refundable beverage containers are set up at the school, so feel free to send or bring in your bottles at any time.
If you can’t make it to the monthly Bottle Drive, refundable beverage containers can be dropped off at any time at the North Hill Bottle Depot (336 – 41 Avenue NE) to the account of Hillhurst School.
